Uncertainty Realm
I'm working to make this a handy tool for running D&D campaigns in my homebrew world, Ondara.
World Setting
- Exploration. Encouraging exploration through mechanics. Creatures, items, and locations will have tooltips referencing how to obtain them and what you can do with them.
- Laws & Regulations. The rich have laws in place to make it near impossible to get rich. Shops can't buy your items. You can't sell items without a permit. If you want tools you must apply for a crafting license for each toolset. There are black markets and bootleggers, but they'll cost you a premium to avoid the hassle of bureaucracy.
- Consumerism. All items are consumable and not built to last. Many items invested with good intentions have become subject to greed and keep people in constant need of them.
Mechanical Changes
- The Coinblight. An affliction that causes creatures to become invulnerable and go berserk until they've consumed enough coin.
- Magic Items. Magic items have charges and are consumed when depleated. They do not recharge even if they say they do (unless the DM explicitly states an exception).
